The People Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic HR support to the business, including employee relations, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of Australian employment law and best practices.


This role will be based in our Sydney office and will be a hybrid working role. What does hybrid mean here at CG? Monday, Tuesday and Friday in office. You can enjoy plenty of flexibility with the added benefit of one wellness day a month available.





Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic HR support to the Australia and APAC business
  • Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary matters, and terminations
  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing employees
  • Help ensure data integrity in the HRIS system
  • Stay up-to-date on Australian employment law and best practices
  • Provide HR coaching and development to managers and employees as needed
  • Work closely with the regional People Business Partner team to ensure a positive and productive work environment
  • Assist with the leave management process for Australia to ensure accurate reporting and timely communications
  • Assist with day-to-day people-related items and inquiries


What you will bring to this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, including 3+ years in a business partner role
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment law and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of other APAC HR policies and procedures is ideal but not required
