POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our engineering team at Cyntergy. In this role, you will leverage your power and lighting design experience and technical expertise to create comprehensive electrical designs for a variety of projects. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet both functional and compliance standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Develop and produce drawings for building’s lighting, power and electrical distribution systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
· Perform lighting and power engineering calculations.
· Design electrical systems in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
· Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
· Support the procurement process by evaluating and specifying appropriate materials and equipment for new electrical infrastructure and reviewing vendor proposals.
· Adhere to project schedules, budgets and scope of work.
· Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
· Vocational Certificate or Associates degree in Engineering Design or Drafting.
· 3+ years of electrical design experience in the architectural / built environment.
· Proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
· Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IBC, IECC).
· Capable of performing calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
Preferred:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
· Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards licensure.
· Proficiency in electrical analysis software (e.g., SKM PowerTools).
· Competency in AutoCAD
SKILLS
· Expertise in electrical distribution systems, power design, and lighting design.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities effectively.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the engineering field.
LOCATION
This role is hybrid, requiring successful candidates to work in our office at least 3 days a week.
