Job Description

THE ROLE

As an integral part of the Development team (Community Giving), the Specialist, Digital Fundraising is responsible for leading and implementing digital fundraising initiatives, playing a key role in DSFs engagement, fundraising and stewardship efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and lead digital fundraising strategy to grow audiences and funding by building on ongoing campaign and trend analysis, keeping up-to-date on industry best practices and aligning campaigns with organizational engagement strategy.
  • Manage campaigns, including producing and sending emails, developing and maintaining donation forms and implementing A/B testing. Oversee content creation, working with internal editors and graphic design staff to produce compelling fundraising content. 
  • Collaborate with digital team on building segmented email lists, campaign reporting, and fundraising-related social media and web page properties.
  • Work with digital team and vendors to ensure online fundraising platforms are up-to-date, providing information needed for vendor support and testing fixes when provided. 
  • Contribute to wider DSF engagement strategy to grow online community through passive and active acquisition and retention tactics. Work closely with engagement team to ensure fundraising campaigns fit within wider organizational context and benefit from other DSF initiatives and external events. Bring fundraising expertise to wider DSF engagement campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other development staff on integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
  • Support donor relations team with online donation processing platform issues and donor inquiries such as missing acknowledgments, fields not working, etc. Act as liaison with platform vendors as needed.

Sa mission consiste à élaborer et à mettre en œuvre des initiatives de collecte de fonds numériques. À ce titre, la personne joue un rôle clé dans les efforts d'engagement, de collecte de fonds et de fidélisation des donateur.trice.s.

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Élaborer et diriger la stratégie de collecte de fonds numérique afin d’accroître la base de donateur.trice.s et le financement, en s’appuyant sur l'analyse continue des campagnes existantes et les tendances; en restant à jour sur les meilleures pratiques du secteur et en alignant les campagnes avec la stratégie de mobilisation de l'organisation.
  • Gérer les campagnes, y compris la rédaction et l’envoi des courriels, l’élaboration et la mise à jour des formulaires de dons et la mise en œuvre de tests A/B. Encadrer la création de contenu, en collaboration avec l’équipe de rédaction interne et l’équipe de conception graphique, afin de proposer des messages de collecte de fonds convaincants. 
  • Collaborer avec l’équipe du volet numérique pour créer des listes d’adresses électroniques segmentées; collecter les données d’analyses des campagnes et créer du matériel pour les médias sociaux et les pages Web en lien avec les activités de financement.
  • Travailler avec l’équipe du volet numérique et les fournisseurs pour veiller aux mises à jour des plateformes de collecte de fonds en ligne en procurant les données nécessaires au fournisseur et en testant les correctifs, le cas échéant. 
  • Participer, de manière globale, à la stratégie de mobilisation de la FDS, pour faire croître la communauté d’internautes de la Fondation à partir de tactiques d’acquisition et de rétention passives et actives. Travailler étroitement avec l’équipe de mobilisation pour veiller à ce que les campagnes de financement s’inscrivent dans la dynamique organisationnelle globale et puissent être portées par d’autres initiatives de la FDS et par des événements externes. Apporter des compétences en collecte de fonds, applicables à l’ensemble des campagnes de mobilisation de la FDS.
  • Travailler avec d’autres membres de l’équipe du développement sur des campagnes multicanaux intégrées.
  • Épauler l’équipe des relations avec les donateur.trice.s en cas de problèmes avec la plateforme de traitement des dons en ligne ou de questions des donateur.trice.s (accusés de réception non reçus, champs ne fonctionnant pas, etc.). Assurer la liaison avec les fournisseurs de plateformes, le cas échéant.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum three years’ digital fundraising/revenue-generating experience, including campaign strategy, planning, donation/sales forms, email and social media production.
  • Experience using fundraising platforms, CRMs and email management tools, particularly Engaging Networks and Marketo. Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT and Salesforce an asset.
  • Experience with social media marketing tools, including Facebook.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel. Experience with Outlook, Office 365, SharePoint and Teams an asset.
  • Experience using digital analytics to measure outcomes (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Comfort checking and editing issues with existing HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery in a text/code editor.
  • Basic experience with Photoshop and other design tools (resizing images, text-overlay and optimization for web and mobile) an asset.
  • Spoken and written English required. French an asset.

PROFIL
