Summary
Responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of the company’s equity programs, including stock options and compliance with related regulations. This role involves working with equity platforms like Shareworks to oversee the stock option programs, ensuring all processes and documentation are accurate and compliant. You will collaborate closely with teams such as Legal, Payroll, and People to support equity participants, address inquiries, and ensure the timely processing of stock grants and reporting. Your work will directly contribute to Deel’s ability to offer streamlined, compliant equity solutions to employees globally, supporting Deel’s mission to provide flexible and scalable global employment services.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate data in the Shareworks equity platform (experience with Shareworks or similar platforms like Carta is not required but preferred).
Develop improvements in process and automated solutions for the stock administration function
Manage the Stock Option programs
Manage new grant process, documentation and compliance requirements
Liaise with Legal team regarding various aspects of the granting and administration of the Cap table
Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements
Provide excellent customer service to all equity participants and respond timely to employee questions
Work with payroll to ensure withholding and reporting obligations are maintained
Partner with People team to ensure accurate data for new stock grants is uploaded for board documentation, approvals, and stock administration tool
Provide regular training and education to participants in our stock plan
Ensure compliance with all domestic and international laws for income and tax withholdings for stock options
Day to day responsibilities include: Provide Equity support to internal teams, prepare data for granting cycle, BAU reporting and coordinating with other functional teams and external parties
Desired skills and competencies
1-2 years of experience in equity administration, payroll, finance, or analysis.
Familiarity with equity platforms (e.g., Shareworks, Carta) is not required but preferred.
Knowledge of stock options, Cap Table management, and related legal documentation.
Familiarity with equity compensation compliance and reporting requirements.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data management tools.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Payroll, People).
Knowledge of domestic and international tax laws for stock options is a plus.
