We are looking for an experienced Lifecycle Marketing professional with a passion for helping developers and small businesses succeed with cloud technology. Reporting to the Director of Customer Growth Marketing, you will play the leading role in guiding our customers through their onboarding and product adoption journeys. Using marketing automation and customer data, you will identify areas to improve and reimagine our nurture programs, uncover roadblocks, and enable our customers to become happy, long-term customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
• You'll own our Lifecycle nurture program: This role is responsible for successfully onboarding new account signups and new product users at scale.Using marketing automation, the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager will enable DigitalOcean customers to be successful in their first four months with DigitalOcean.
• You'll iterate and experiment: Optimize and maintain existing programs, evaluate and test new content, segmentation, and messaging. This includes communication via email and in-app messaging, and will include experimentation in partnership with our Growth Engineering Organization.
• You'll write... a lot! Excellent writing skills will make this teammate (and our customers) successful.
• You'll work cross-functionally: Build a feedback loop with stakeholders to maintain world-class customer nurture and identify areas for process efficiency and improvement.
What We'll Expect From You:
• A curious, customer-centric mindset: We're looking for someone to investigate and understand the end-to-end customer onboarding journey. This person will uncovering new segments and content, make changes to our existing program, and find experimentation opportunities that help us learn more about our customers.
• Deep Marketo and email experience: Hands on experience managing complex lifecycle programs in Marketo and an understanding of email best practices. We are looking for someone who can craft content that is engaging and resonates with developers.
• Project management: Strong attention to detail and ability to understand and plan against cross-dependencies to drive projects forward; experience with JIRA a plus but not required.
• Collaborative expertise: A proven track record of working cross-functionally to execute improvements.
• Digital marketing knowledge: Understanding of channels outside of email, such as paid advertising, content/SEO, or channel marketing.
• Strategic thinking: Ability to go above and beyond by leveling up the quality of the marketing systems that support our team's work.
• Domain experience: Experience marketing cloud solutions to developers and businesses; familiarity with cloud infrastructure a plus

• We reward our employees. The base salary range for this position is between $95,000-$110,000 based on relevant years of experience and skills. The salary range for this role is specific to candidates located within the U.S. and will vary for candidates outside the U.S.. Employees may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees including grants of equity upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
