Program Overview


The Summer 2023 Internship program at Vevo is a paid opportunity designed as a unique opportunity for qualified students to gain hands-on experience while learning about the media and entertainment industry.


Detailed Summary and Description


We are seeking an organized, self-motivated Intern to support the fast-paced growth of Vevo’s global music video network across distribution partnerships, including through market research and competitive analysis of various global distribution partners.


This role will help to achieve the company’s Connected TV (CTV) and FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) growth objectives while gaining an understanding of our relationships with our valuable distribution partners. The Intern will partner cross-functionally across the business, learning the ins and outs of building a successful music television network. 


As a member of the Distribution Partner Management team, you’ll support the success of the overall team in building strong relationships and fostering growth across our global distribution endpoints. You will work alongside talented and insightful individuals that will challenge you to think about balancing the user experience with revenue goals, what technical solutions should be implemented to launch an optimal product - and what promotional levers to pull in order to help drive growth. 


In addition to excellent communication skills (written and verbal), success in this role will be dependent upon your ability to learn and adapt quickly, build internal and external relationships, anticipate team needs and be solution oriented when faced with challenges. An interest in the intersection of media, entertainment and technology is required, specifically in regard to the evolving CTV landscape, new digital trends, music, and emerging consumer video platforms.


This is a full-time Hybrid position for Summer 2023.


Sample Projects & Responsibilities

  • Sample projects may include: CTV market research, competitive analysis (for Vevo & CTV landscape), partner collateral & various tracking document maintenance
  • Support various day-to-day, partner-related tasks (such as participating and gathering inputs for partner meetings, managing creative and marketing requests, etc.)
  • Research industry trends to gain an overall understanding of the CTV & FAST space
  • Understand distribution partner landscape to help formulate growth opportunities for the CTV business
  • Collaborate across internal teams to inform projects while growing professional network
  • Maintain collateral to document partnership nuances to internal stakeholders and for external communications
  • Take part in internal and partner business reviews to gain deeper understanding of business
  • Develop ability to give succinct, informative presentations and hone executive presence

Requirements


  • Rising Senior currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Desire to pursue a career in the media industry
  • 20 hours per week June 6th-August 3rd 2023


The pay range for this position is $15 per hour. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Transparency Law.


This is a part-time position based on-site/in the office. Vevo will operate in a hybrid work model and will require interns to be in office 3 days a week.
