Join us as a Safety Performance Specialist, where you will be at the forefront of enhancing fleet performance through innovative strategies and error prevention tools. As the central contact and Subject Matter Expert for Human Safety Culture, you will play a crucial role in reducing errors and their consequences, ensuring our fleet operates at its best.

This role offers flexible working, and we welcome applications throughout the UK as you will be working from home. However, there is a element of travel to sites throughout the UK, usually a few days a week up to a week for one month.

The Opportunity

As a Human Performance Specialist, you'll be part of the Operational Fleet Management department, working directly with the Fleet Human Performance and Human Factors Lead.

Your role involves providing governance and oversight of business processes, executing improvement programmes, and delivering actionable insights. We encourage applications from individuals with diverse perspectives.

You'll monitor fleet performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance overall efficiency. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to analyse data, and the confidence to offer constructive feedback.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary range associated with this role is between £61,730 - £110,723. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you'll provide valuable input to fleet report requirements, identifying performance gaps and liaising with the fleet to resolve standardisation and compliance issues. You'll support the embedding of agreed processes across the fleet, offering ongoing coaching and mentoring to reinforce best practices.

You'll assist in self-assessments and internal controls, promoting fleet policies based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Keeping training and role profiles up to date, you'll ensure competencies align with organisational needs. You'll incorporate best practices and lessons learned into fleet operations, support peer group tasks, and prepare for regulatory inspections.

Additionally, you'll contribute to strategic improvement plans and help identify sustainability improvements.

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone with Human Performance, Human Organisational Performance, or Safety Culture experience.
