Head of Performance Marketing

This role with our portfolio company - SolarSquare in Mumbai

Strategic Leadership:

● Take responsibility for achieving city-level digital lead generation targets in line with the annual operating plan (AOP)

● Strategize and execute performance marketing campaigns to optimize ROI, reduce CPA, and maximize conversions.

● Establish and monitor KPIs and dashboards for tracking performance across all channels.

● Work closely with the wider marketing team to optimize audience and communication strategies

● Collaborate with the content and design teams to create compelling ad creatives and landing page

● Monitor competitor activity and keep an eye out for trends Campaign Management:

● Oversee and optimize PPC campaigns across platforms including Google (Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube, Performance Max) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram).

● Lead keyword research, ad copy creation, A/B testing, and campaign optimization.

● Drive funnel optimization from impressions to conversions, leveraging data-driven insights.

● Implement and manage conversion tracking, pixel setup, and event tracking.

Team Leadership:

● Build and lead a high-performing performance marketing team.

● Collaborate across teams (content, design, pre-sales, field sales) to optimize messaging, landing pages, and campaign outcomes.

● Mentor and guide team members to achieve peak performance. Budget & Analytics:

● Manage marketing budgets with precision, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet business goals.

● Conduct data analysis to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and derive actionable insights.

● Develop mechanisms for collecting and analyzing data across teams, ensuring a seamless feedback loop for continuous improvement.

Optimization & Innovation:

● Leverage A/B testing, CRO techniques, and advanced bidding strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness.

● Identify new digital marketing tools and technologies to stay ahead of trends.

● Continuously monitor competitor activities and emerging trends in performance marketing.

We’re seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Performance Marketing to lead our top-of-the-funnel initiatives aime at driving lead generation and digital brand awareness. This role will oversee all performance marketing campaigns, ensuring they deliver high ROI and align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate should be:

● Highly skilled in leading teams that manage and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), and online affiliates.

● 8+ years of experience in performance marketing and digital brand awareness across top tier consumer startups.

● Proficient in scaling B2C marketing initiatives, with a proven track record of achieving results.

● A strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and a hands-on approach.

● A natural leader with the ability to build, inspire, and manage high-performing teams.

● Tier 1 MBA or graduation school / preferred.

● 8+ years of experience in performance marketing, including at least 4 years of leading high-performing digital marketing teams in the B2C space.

● Deep expertise in digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta platforms, and affiliates.

● Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.

● Proven ability to optimize campaigns for ROI and scale lead generation efforts.

● Hands-on experience in:

○ Conversion tracking, pixel setup, and event tracking.

○ Managing and optimizing paid campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).

○ A/B testing and CRO techniques.

● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

● Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for execution and results.
