As part of our client’s financial long-term strategy for growth in Employee Benefits, this position is responsible for developing and managing a specified geographic territory. The person in this role will be charged with building meaningful business relationships with brokers and other centers of influence in order to expand the distribution of Employee Benefits products and services.
You will be responsible for driving and managing sales activity in your designated territory.
Primary Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining Key Broker Relationships
Build Brand –Establishing a robust and visible presence in your designated territory.
Creating a meaningful pipeline of opportunities.
Closing Employee Benefit Business deals effectively.
Identifying new prospects and guiding them seamlessly through the sales process to closure.
Meeting and exceeding activity and revenue targets assigned to you.
Delivering engaging sales and product seminars as needed.
Managing your territory strategically to achieve net quote activity levels that align with our selling objectives.
Leveraging Group Market Share, MiEdge, and Salesforce data to effectively enhance market presence and boost sales performance.
Formulating a targeted plan to meet case activity goals that resonate with our core strategy.
Job Requirements
Established broker relationships with experience in LTD, STD, and Group Life.
Produce within the assigned territory and achieve satisfactory sales results and submissions of client’s products.
Exceptional skill in developing and maintaining relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, management) and external clients
Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with a collaborative style
Advanced ability to develop strategies and business plans and then deliver on established objectives
Outstanding presentation and consultative selling skills
Able to travel up to 50% to meet with targeted prospects
Bachelor's Degree or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
Life and Health license
Minimum of two - four years of Employment Benefit Sales experience
