POSITION SUMMARY


We are seeking an intern to join our Observatory Sales team. This internship opportunity focuses on supporting the Sales team primarily through the development and updating of a Standard Operating Procedures Manual for Sales Operations Process and Sales Support Functions. This individual will be responsible for developing SOPs for the team, responding to General and Sales Inquiries, conducting competitive analyses, and supporting interdepartmental sales function needs. The Sales intern will have the opportunity to support the VP, Business Development and Travel Trade in finding opportunities through market initiatives, competitive analysis by sales channel and presenting findings.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the VP of Revenue with sales responsibilities
  • Development and updating of an SOP Manual for Sales Operations
  • Provide input for sales reports and presentations
  • Assist in servicing and selling group tickets
  • Gain a working knowledge of Ventrata, Salesforce and Monday.com
  • Support Sales team with coordinating familiarization tours and events for clients.
  • Assist with incoming individual ticket orders by processing ticket orders and payments
  • Respond to General and Sales Inquiry Cases via Salesforce CRM
  • Database collection and input of general inquiries and sales leads into CRM System
  • Analyze Tour and Travel accounts to provide insight: research potential 3rd party aggregators to augment market share
  • Expand current business intelligence reporting to encompass market and reseller intel
  • Review market and competitor intel to identify potential ESB gaps and recommend (if applicable) new revenue streams or areas of opportunities
  • Review customer surveys as well as demographics reports to understand potential target segments per market and territories
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by VP, Business Development, Travel Trade


REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
  • Strong research and computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Demonstrated teamwork
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, organized, detail oriented, and hard working
  • Integrity and a commitment to excellence
  • Intern will receive training on Ventrata ticketing system, Salesforce CRM and Monday.com project management platforms
  • Experience with Salesforce and Monday.com are nice but not required


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • A Junior enrolled in a four-year or five-year undergraduate program in the graduating class of 2026


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

$22.50 - $22.50 an hour
Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, job location, size of property where applicable, and/or certifications. In addition to your base salary, ESRT provides discretionary annual bonuses.
