Engineering Manager

We are Envirogen, an innovator and established international water treatment solutions business. Due to growth we are looking to appoint a Engineering Manager for our North American operations.

Compensation package ranging from $150,000 - $200,000 dependent on experience

You will be responsible for the execution and oversee the development and design of large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects. As Engineering Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are well-thought out and executed, along with developing and reviewing process designs, detailed engineering, equipment costings, drawings, and procurement specifications. The role requires coordination with project management and other engineers and monitoring the day-to-day progress of projects.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Developing and mentoring other engineers.
  • Use your knowledge and experience to set the technical direction for the team and organization.
  • Identify new trends and technologies and develop strategies for using these technologies to improve the company’s products or services.
  • Understand complex engineering problems and develop and implement solutions to these problems.
  • Support the commercial (sales) development of water and wastewater treatment solutions.
  • Plan, formulate, and perform engineering assignments as needed, with clear and specified objectives involving conventional types of plans and specifications.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (ME, ChE,) from an accredited, four-year university
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Highly competent in interrogating supplier’s equipment packages to determine the suitability of the supplier’s package for the project in question, establishing the performance requirements for the equipment packages and determining the required supplier guarantees for the equipment packages.
  • Strong understanding of the various processes associated with water and wastewater engineering and the engineering requirements of these processes.
  • Highly competent in reading, understanding, and generating P&IDs for the water and wastewater industry.
  • Experience in EICA engineering
  • Highly competent in reading, understanding, and visualizing layout drawings for the water and wastewater industry.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined project management and engineering team to develop technical and commercially viable solutions to meet our Clients' requirements.
  • Highly competent in mentoring junior engineers respectfully and completing peer reviews objectively and constructively. 
  • Experience in Water/Wastewater treatment in various industries is preferred.
  • PE or other certifications is a plus.
