Staff Product Designer

As a Staff Product Designer at EvenUp, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our AI-driven legal platform. You’ll lead the design of user-centric, intuitive, and impactful products that directly support our mission of advocating for injury victims. Additionally, you will own and drive the continuous improvement and scaling of our design system to ensure consistency, efficiency, and innovation across all product touchpoints.

Reporting directly to the Head of Design, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that empower attorneys and create meaningful change.

This role is open to candidates located anywhere in the US and Canada; candidates are welcome to work out of our offices in San Francisco or Toronto, but not required to do so. 

What you'll do:

  • Take ownership of the design process for a product area, from product direction to user flows and interaction design.

  • Understand internal and external user needs through user research and usability testing; leverage user insights to design powerful, efficient, and delightful products and features.

  • Create high-fidelity designs and prototypes for cutting-edge AI-powered solutions that address complex user challenges and scale across platforms.

  • Collaborate with highly-skilled engineers, product managers, data scientists, machine learning researchers, and others to ship high-quality features, with high velocity. 

  • Maintain, improve, and scale our design system to support seamless, consistent, and efficient product development. Collaborate with designers and engineers to implement reusable components and guidelines.

  • Use your expertise to shape and influence the broader product and design strategies.

  • Mentor and elevate the design craft of the team, fostering growth and maintaining high standards in design thinking and execution.

What we look for:

  • At least 8 years of experience in software product design 

  • Experience building workflow products for specialized power users in a B2B environment

  • Experience building interfaces for AI products

  • Deep expertise in Figma, specifically tooling for component libraries, system documentation, and cross-functional adoption

  • Excellent qualitative user research skills 

  • Strong writing ability 

  • Execution mindset; ability to set and meet deadlines

  • Startup experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
