Director of Marketing Services & Technology

ExtraHop is seeking a talented marketing technology leader to oversee the day-to-day management of marketing services to ensure the seamless execution of marketing campaigns. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Leadership
  • Develop and execute the strategy for global marketing services aligned with our overall corporate OKRs
  • Run the global marketing services team, including defining operating models, ways of working, and approaches to collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding and execution of marketing strategies
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing operations
  • Marketing Technology Platform
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to evolve the marketing technology stack to enhance campaign effectiveness and accelerate demand generation
  • Partner with IT to evaluate, select, implement, and adopt marketing technology platforms and tools to enhance marketing capabilities and drive outcomes
  • Oversee the day-to-day campaign and email operations of the Eloqua marketing automation platform
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Eloqua and related technologies to ensure smooth operations
  • Process Optimization
  • Develop best practices for campaign, data, email, list, and form management, including campaign setup, email marketing, nurture strategies, lead scoring, subscription/preference center, and form handling 
  • Streamline campaign, data, and lead management workflows and processes to increase marketing efficiency and productivity
  • Utilize Eloqua analytics to track and analyze marketing email and form conversion performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Data Strategy Development
  • Collaborate with IT to maintain the marketing database, build effective segmentation, and ensure data accuracy, cleanliness, and compliance to improve coverage and engagement in ExtraHop’s ICP
  • Develop and enforce data governance standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless data integration between systems
  • Utilize data analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the marketing team
  • Continuous Improvement 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide training and support to marketing team members on the use of marketing technologies and best practices
  • Team Leadership and People Management  
  • Manage and lead the marketing services team responsible for campaign creation, email, webinar, list management, landing page development, and key marketing technology initiatives.
  • Define team goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives




Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in marketing operations or related roles, with proven leadership, ideally for a complex B2B technology provider
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent executive leadership training preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing technology platforms and tools (Salesforce, Eloqua, Full Circle, LeanData, Integrate)
  • Proven ability to balance global scale with local relevance in marketing capabilities and operations, drive marketing transformation, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing service-oriented, adaptable teams focused on continuous improvement and data-driven decisions aligned to outcomes and OKRs
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects and priorities and collaborating across functions and teams
  • Effective communicator, skilled in presenting insights and related high-priority topics to executives and peers. Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating large group sessions. Clear and crisp communicator with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts.
  • Strong ability to work with internal and external stakeholders across business and technical teams 
  • A high degree of personal integrity
  • Expertise in marketing automation platforms (i.e., Oracle Eloqua, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Marketo)
  • Marketing automation or operations training, or certifications are preferred
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, with a strong understanding of data governance and lead management processes
  • Experience in leading global teams and managing vendors and technology
