Job Descripton: Warehouse Team MemberPosition Summary:The Warehouse Team Member is tasked with overseeing the warehouse activities in all retail stores. Spanning from supervising warehouse specialists, forklift operators, and order pickers to supporting the Receiving Team Member in managing daily delivery schedules based on customer and inventory needs.Team Member Major Duties:• Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the warehouse workforce to optimize the shipping and receiving processes.• Supervise the logistical operations of the warehouse by directing a range of activities such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, and maintenance.• Managing Storage Buy transactions involves balancing inventory levels with customer demand to ensure that products are available when needed.• Keep your warehouse equipment functioning optimally with consistent preventive maintenance and repairs.• Safety should always be a top priority in the warehouse, and OSHA regulations play a critical role in protecting workers.• It's essential to educate team members on the proper policies and guidelines for carrying out daily duties.• Provide clear guidance and information on company policies and procedures to employees when they have questions or issues.• Foster strong partnerships with other departments for efficient warehouse operations.• We will present activity reports to management that summarize the organization's accomplishments and identify any challenges it may face in the upcoming period.• Ensure that the paperwork in transit from the Receiving department to the Inventory Control Specialist does not get lost or misplaced.• Managing Variances in Shipping, Invoices, Packing Slips, and Receiver Reports.• Enforce the Examination Plan for Procuring Storage.• Enhance efficiency in counting and inspection through the utilization of stage products.• Consistently rotating stock can reduce waste and cost while ensuring the availability of fresh products for customers.• Fulfill any additional obligations that are assigned by the higher authorities.Team Member Professional Background:• It is a requirement for the candidate to have prior knowledge in supervising employees within a warehouse or distribution center for one to three years.• Impressive capabilities in establishing strong professional relationships, constructing efficient teams, delegating assignments, and monitoring progress.• Being adept at working in unison with other teams across the organization.• Well-developed communication skills in both verbal and written forms.• Accomplished in basic mathematical equations.• Well-versed in managing and navigating through Windows-based computer systems.• Ability to flourish in a fast-moving work environment and meet tight schedules.• Readiness to put in extra time during high volume periods.PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS• The job involves the physical ability to carry, lift, push, pull or move items weighing up to 60 pounds with occasional frequency and 20-30 pounds frequently.• Capacity to skillfully manipulate and feel objects with precision and sensitivity.• The physical actions of standing, walking, and climbing are frequently executed without much attention.About Us:Headquartered in Smyrna, Georgia, Floor & Decor is a well-established specialty retailer that offers an extensive range of flooring surfaces and accessories.
