A Payroll Specialist Tier 2 at Fourth is a mid-level role responsible for addressing moderately complex client payroll accounts and providing support at an advanced level. This position serves as a well-rounded knowledge base in payroll processing and strategy, playing a crucial role in ensuring the overall integrity and efficiency of the payroll function for our clients.


The Role. . .
  • Process and deliver customer payrolls, garnishments, employee maintenance, timesheet consolidation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide services according to the Bureau Service Definition and Service Level Agreements.
  • Address and resolve complex payroll issues.
  • Ensure adherence to intricate payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct detailed audits to identify and correct errors or discrepancies in payroll data.
  • Generate detailed payroll reports and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Perform special payroll-related projects such as system upgrades, process improvements, or policy changes.
  • Manage escalated employee issues or concerns that require deeper investigation and resolution.


The Ideal Candidate. . .
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience
  • High School diploma
  • Computer Skills; Microsoft Office product, especially Excel
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and/or PEO experience
  • Knowledge of PRISM a plus
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities; expertise in building and maintaining business relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
