Your mission

As a Security Engineer at Futurae, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our platforms and products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices, conduct security assessments, and provide innovative solutions to enhance the security posture of our products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform security reviews of designs and source code, research and reproduce vulnerabilities, design secure protocols and systems, and write tests and fuzzers.
  • Review and develop secure operational practices and provide security guidance for engineers to ensure state-of-the-art security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Look for vulnerabilities with techniques including Reverse Engineering, Fuzzing, and Static Analysis.
  • Monitor security events and incidents, and respond to security breaches.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience with security engineering, DevSecOps, computer and network security, PKI and security protocols.
  • 5+ years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, encryption, and secure coding practices.
  • Fluent in English.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in security research, vulnerability investigation, or incident response.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and securing cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP, AWS).
  • Experience as an Ethical Hacker.
  • Experience with security compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISAE 3402/SOC).
  • Fluent in German or other languages.
