Plumbing Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Plumbing Engineer to join our team supporting Fluor on their Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project! This position is full-time and will be based out of Greenville, SC.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of plumbing-related engineering projects through project startup

  • Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to P&ID development

  • Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems, water and waste systems, and equipment design

  • Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications

Requirements

  • Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering

  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work

  • Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License, highly preferred

  • Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design

  • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required
