As a Pediatric Dental Assistant at Smile, you will support our dentists during various treatment procedures, ensuring that patients, especially children, feel comfortable and cared for. Your daily responsibilities will include preparing the treatment area, taking dental radiographs (x-rays), educating young patients about oral hygiene, managing infection control protocols, and providing follow-up care instructions. To qualify for the Pediatric Dental Assistant position at Smile, you will need a Dental Assistant Certificate in accordance with state regulations. Additionally, X-ray certification is required as mandated by state laws. Having a genuine passion for pediatric dental care and excellent communication skills will help you thrive in this role.

The work schedule for a Pediatric Dental Assistant at Smile is designed to provide an optimal work-life balance. You'll be working Monday to Thursday, from 7:40 AM to 5 PM, giving you long weekends to relax and spend time with family and friends. This structured schedule allows you to focus on providing excellent care to our patients while having ample downtime.

Reassure the child with a calm demeanor, use simple language to explain the procedure, and allow them to ask questions. I am well-versed in the protocols, including sterilizing instruments before and after use, utilizing protective gear, and understanding how to manage equipment to minimize cross-contamination.
