Outside Sales Rep – Building MaterialsWe are actively looking for an outgoing and energetic Outside Sales Rep in the Building Materials industry to join our growing team! The Outside Sales Rep will reach business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer and contractor sites and locations. The Outside Sales Rep will also develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain professionalism, integrity, passion, and top shelf communication to both internal and external customers. You will utilize your building materials knowledge, particularly in lumber and exterior building products, to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value of our client's products to customers.Job Type: Full-TimeResponsibilities for the Outside Sales Rep:• Ensure delivery of target sales by meeting with customers and maintaining relationships• Recommend service and product enhancements to improve sales potential• Analyze plans and trends to ensure best assignment of territories, clients, and service distribution.• Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in industry networks, and growing lasting client relationships• Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volumes and forecasting.• Remain relevant with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand shifts, and product mix.• Positively contribute to full sales and customer service teams• Develop and collaborate on long- and short-term sales strategiesRequirements of the Outside Sales Rep:• Minimum 5+ years of Outside Sales or direct to contractor sales experience in the Lumber, Building Materials, and Construction industries.• Strong organizational skills• Ability to multitask and plan• World class customer service skills• Market experience and knowledge• Ability to recognize the clients needs and sell within the catalog of products• Budget development• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
