About the job


The Capital One Travel team at Hopper builds and maintains a multi-billion-dollar travel portal, delivering seamless and delightful travel experiences to millions of customers. We're seeking a QA Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the quality of our customized travel solutions. In this role, you will be directly responsible for ensuring a best-in-class digital travel experience across our product offerings.


As a QA Analyst, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at Hopper and our partners to test and validate web and mobile applications and backend services. Your work will directly contribute to delivering tailored, innovative solutions that elevate the customer experience and reinforce Hopper’s position as a leader in travel technology.


What would your day-to-day look like:
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan test coverage for new features.
  • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and API components.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues using logs, debugging tools, and database queries.
  • Build and maintain test frameworks for automated testing, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Proactively identify gaps in test coverage and propose strategies to improve product quality.
  • Track and report on quality metrics, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing throughout the product lifecycle.


An ideal candidate has:
  • 2+ years in QA for web, mobile, or API-based applications in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including manual and automated testing, functional, performance, and integration testing.
  • Proficient in testing APIs, analyzing logs, debugging issues, and querying databases to validate data integrity.
  • Skilled in maintaining bug databases, tracking issues through the development lifecycle, and leveraging automation frameworks.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication with the ability to work effectively in geographically distributed teams.
  • Solid understanding of system architecture and components, with a proactive approach to identifying edge cases and complex scenarios.
  • A detail-oriented, curious, and proactive approach to quality assurance, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and issue resolution.

$125,000 - $270,000 a year
The yearly total compensation for this senior position ranges from 125 000$ to 270 000$ CAD.

Compensation will be determined by candidates' relevant qualifications, knowledge, skills and work experience. Total compensation will include a solid base salary and will also include equity (options / RSUs), sign-on bonus and other potential incentives.
