Functional Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary

We are looking for a remote Functional Quality Assurance Engineer to join our QA team. This is a long-term full-time (40 hrs/wk) role.

We are specifically looking for a professional living in one of the following countries: Poland, Romania or Portugal.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute manual test cases 

  • Collaborate with development and product teams to identify and prioritize testing needs and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.

  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure coverage of all product requirements.

  • Identify, isolate, reproduce, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.

  • Conduct exploratory testing to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

  • Define, implement and execute acceptance criteria for user stories and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

  • Develop and maintain a testing process for web and desktop applications, including testing plans, procedures, and reports.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, and improve the overall product quality.

  • Participate in the development of automation test scripts and API tests 

  • Mentor other QA individuals, provide guidance on testing processes, and assist with hiring as needed.

  • Document test results and prepare reports to present to the product team, stakeholders, and management.

Requirements

What You Should Have:

  • 4+ years experience working as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.

  • English B2+

  • Hands-on experience with Web, API, Desktop and Mobile testing.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field / consider professionals with concluded QA courses and proven work experience

  • Experience in developing test cases and scripts, and creating detailed test plans.

  • Experience working with Jira / Confluence

  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

Nice-to-Have:

  • API testing

  • Automation experience (we use Playwright/JS)

  • Experience working with Allure TestOps

  • Experience in Mobile Testing (we have 2 mobile Applications)

  • Experience in testing Desktop applications (Linux / Windows / MacOS)

  • Experience working with Virtual Machines (create new instance - install application - test application)

  • Contractor Rate: Between USD 22/hour and USD 26/hour (approx. USD 4000/month). Contractors are paid based on the hours worked.
