We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Developer with expertise in Azure to provide ongoing development our BI and data solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining BI and data solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This role involves creating and managing data pipelines, storage solutions, and data processing workflows to support data-driven decision-making within the organization.

The role requires a person who has development experience using the Microsoft toolset within Azure, specifically:

• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Synapse
• Microsoft Fabric
• Building Power BI models that enable self-serve report

Project delivery will follow an Agile methodology and therefore experience working collaboratively in sprint planning and delivery is critical.

Responsibilities:

1. ETL Development: Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation using Azure Data Platform
2. Data Modelling: Design and develop efficient and robust data models. Ensure the effective use of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query for data manipulation and analysis in Power BI.
3. Reporting and Visualization: Develop interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI integrated with Microsoft Fabric.
4. Ensure that reports are user-friendly and provide actionable insights.
5. Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Business and Data Analysts, System engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
6. Provide support and training to end-users on BI tools and reports.
7. Document data models, ETL processes, and Power BI reports for knowledge sharing and future reference.
8. Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
9. Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions to identify and address performance issues, ensuring optimal system functionality and user satisfaction.
10. Provide support and expertise to resolve any BI-related incidents or problems in a timely manner.
11. Data Analysis and Optimization:
12. Optimize and fine-tune queries, data models, and ETL processes for improved performance and efficiency.
13. Code version management:
14. Responsible for version controlling code using Git.
15. Move assets through Dev/UAT/PRD
16. Support automation of deployment

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years' experience working as BI developer
• Proven experience in designing and implementing business intelligence solutions using ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, Power BI, Fabric, Synapse, Notebook, Spark.
• Examples of solving tangible business problems using data analytics based off complex data structures
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Fabric are a plus.
