Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in nursing

 

Demonstrates written, interpersonal, or communication skills as appropriate to position

 

Working knowledge of obstetrical treatments and newborn safety

 

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

BLS

 

One of the following:

  • Current Alabama RN license
  • Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

 

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing

 

Working knowledge of healthcare technology and patient management systems

 

1 of the most recent 3 years’ experience in perinatal nursing

 

Desired Licensure, Registration, Certification:

Certified in Navigation or a related women’s health field

Responsibilities

Designs and conducts educational programs to meet regulatory and audience demands and to support achievement of Infirmary Health's (IH) standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes. Develops and coordinates services provided to the patient throughout the continuum of care in order to decrease fragmentation. Acts as a liaison between the physicians, the professional health care staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality and continuity of care delivery.
