Company Description

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

Job Description

1. Strategic Planning, Market Research & Innovation

  • Collaborate with the Line Manager to develop marketing plans, including target audience identification, objectives, promotional activities, and desired outcomes.
  • Conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, and stay updated on industry trends to inform data-driven strategies.
  • Generate innovative ideas to differentiate campaigns in competitive markets and share insights to refine customer targeting.

2. Campaign Management & Execution

  • Design and execute multi-channel campaigns (social media, digital, events) aligned with project goals for cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Generate creative ideas and execute campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and the company website.

3. Content Creation & Production Coordination

  • Develop creative content for marketing materials (copy, design/video briefs) and collaborate with graphic designers to ensure visual impact and brand alignment.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for event photo/video production and other promotional assets.

4. Data Analysis, Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Use analytical tools (Google Analytics, CRM) to measure campaign effectiveness, track KPIs, and optimize strategies.
  • Generate post-campaign reports and collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to gather visitor/customer feedback, enhancing user experience.

5. Budget Management

  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with campaign goals.

6. Ad-Hoc Responsibilities

  • Support additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications

1. Education & Core Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1+ year of professional experience in marketing, communications, advertising, or business development.
  • Preferred: Experience in the B2B event industry and/or basic understanding of the water sector (a strong plus).

2. Operational & Technical Expertise

  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to balance practical execution with strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency in managing WordPress (CMS) and social media platforms(Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written English fluency, with proven ability to produce creative, engaging content.

3. Communication & Collaboration

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to foster positive relationships with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.

4. Work Ethic & Adaptability

  • Self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
