Senior Manager, HR Operations

ITC is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our People Operations team based out of our Vienna, VA headquarters. The HR Operations Manager will be key in enhancing our HR programs and processes, creating a positive employee experience, and partnering with Business Leaders and the HR team regarding all matters related to effectively supporting and managing human capital. The ideal candidate will be well organized, have a high level of attention to detail, have lots of energy, have a drive for continuous improvement, and enjoy rolling up their sleeves in a tight-knit and fast-paced environment.  This is a new ITC position and an opportunity to shape how HR is implemented in a fast-growing GovCon. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the VP of People with developing and driving the execution of the People Operations strategy, integrating best practices/trends, and performing analysis on the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing human capital processes and programs.
  • Lead, motivate, and build the capabilities of the HR Operations team by providing day-to-day guidance that aligns with the overall strategy.
  • Analyze HR processes with an eye on efficiency, quality, and data-driven decision-making by leveraging technologies. 
  • Work with the HR team and company leaders to continuously improve HR processes for efficiency and to effectively support the business and our employees.
  • Collaborate with HR Systems Analyst to ensure the HR Information System and other HR tools effectively streamline processes and enhance employee experience.
  • Work closely with the other teams across the organization to ensure that we have the correct processes to succeed in a fast-growing environment.
  • Develop and maintain employee handbook, HR policies, and processes to ensure compliance with company controls and all applicable employment laws.  Will work with outside employment counsel on employment law questions that arise from a growing business portfolio.
  • Responsible for all HR-related compliance audits and working with stakeholders to address areas of risk.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices and drive activities around compliance.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, processing high-volume transactions promptly in compliance with established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist with cyclical HR processes such as compensation, performance management, and open enrollment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Location: Hybrid in Vienna, VA

  • 4-year college degree in Human Resources or Business or Organizational/Industrial Psychology
  • 7-10 years of Human Resources experience in an operations or HR-related position with at least 2 years’ experience managing a team.
  • Experience working in a matrixed HR organization
  • HR experience with a large (2500+ employees) federal government contractor
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources, including talent management, recruiting, benefits administration, payroll, attendance and leave, performance management, compensation, and compliance processes.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of compliance with laws and regulations regarding employment practices and general/leading HR practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle ambiguity, multiple competing priorities, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop changes or alternatives.
  • Proven ability to develop solutions to complex problems by reviewing related information and evaluating options.
  • Passionate about accuracy, consistent processes, efficiency, and effective maintenance of people data.
  • Experience communicating across all corporate levels, including interfacing with top executives
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS and other HR tools and systems
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Industrial Relations or Organizational Psychology or MBA
  • Experience leading an HR Service Center or HR Operations
  • Experience with UKG Pro
