Job Description

 ABOUT THE COMPANY 

Jitterbit is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to join our QA team. Jitterbit is an iPaaS (Integration as a Service) and API Management platform which has been recognized in Gartner MQ for seven straight years. Our customers utilize our Low-code iPaaS, APIM, LCAP, and B2B platform to address mission-critical business automation challenges. What is our challenge? To make it easy to automate our customers’ systems. In order to do this, we need to build and create a SaaS offering that is reliable, stable, and scalable for our customers. As a Performance Test Engineer on our team, you will collaborate with other engineers, product management, and operations to build, test, and release our products.

ABOUT THE JOB 

You will leverage your expertise in performance testing of enterprise SaaS applications to validate the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our product components. You will define best practices and be the domain expert in performance testing across front-end, back-end, and API endpoints at Jitterbit. Additionally, you will establish and maintain performance test environments and assets across various supported configurations and cloud infrastructures. Last but not least, you will collaborate closely with Development teams to review requirements and design decisions, providing valuable feedback to identify potential performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization. 

Our tech stack includes but is not limited to Java, C++, Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, CSS3, Nginx, Tomcat, Apache HTTP server, Windows and Linux OS’s, Jenkins, 

Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Datadog, and 50+ supported endpoints such as DBs, CRM/ERPs, marketing/ecommerce systems, HTTP/SOAP/OData protocols, messaging queues, etc. to name a few. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is as follows: 

● Strong expertise with JMeter for performance and load testing. 

● Solid understanding of SaaS architecture and experience in testing cloud-based applications. 

● Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including setting up and managing cloud infrastructure for performance testing. 

● Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration for performance testing. 

● Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and performance integration in CI workflows. 

● Ability to analyze system logs, performance bottlenecks, and root cause analysis. 

● Expertise in profiling tools, monitoring, and diagnosing application performance issues. Knowledge of APM tools like New Relic, Datadog, or Dynatrace. 

● Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams. 

● Strong communication skills to articulate performance insights, issues, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

● Proficiency with InfluxDB for storing time-series performance data and Grafana for visualization and analysis. 

● Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration. 

● Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or other relevant languages to automate performance tasks is a plus
