About the Job

As a Project Manager at Keeper Security, you will be responsible for leading and executing backend software projects, collaborating closely with the engineering, design, and product teams to deliver secure, high-quality backend solutions. You will leverage your technical background in software development to guide backend teams through project milestones and ensure seamless delivery while maintaining alignment with Keeper's vision and security goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of backend software projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and design) to define project scope, requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Partner with engineering leads to prioritize and refine project backlogs, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of backend features and security solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to backend developers, driving the successful implementation of key features in backend systems and infrastructure.
  • Foster collaboration between engineering, product management, and design to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, ensuring project timelines and goals are met while maintaining high security and quality standards.
  • Develop clear and concise project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and risk assessments. Report on project status to key stakeholders.
  • Implement and refine processes to improve project delivery, ensuring the backend development team’s success in meeting business and security goals.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management with a strong background in backend software development.
  • Proven experience in managing complex technical projects, particularly in the software or cybersecurity space.
  • Strong understanding of backend technologies, frameworks, and architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure management.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable plans and clearly report project progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and standards (e.g., zero-trust, encryption, identity management).
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
