Kimley-Horn, a nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm, is seeking a highly experienced Chief PFAS Technologist to join our Water/Wastewater team in Denver, CO. This is an exciting opportunity for a PhD-level expert with extensive knowledge in per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) to lead projects, provide technical guidance, and drive innovative solutions for our clients.
Lead and manage PFAS-related projects, including water/wastewater treatment, regulatory compliance, and remediation strategies.
Develop innovative solutions for the detection, treatment, and management of PFAS contamination.
Provide expert guidance on emerging PFAS regulations and assist clients in navigating compliance challenges.
Engage in business development activities, including client engagement, proposal development, and strategic planning.
Mentor and support junior staff in technical and professional growth.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the firm to integrate PFAS expertise into broader water/wastewater initiatives.
Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum of 15+ years of experience in PFAS research, consulting, or water/wastewater treatment.
In-depth understanding of PFAS fate and transport, treatment technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver high-quality results for clients.
Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
PE license (preferred but not required)
Salary range: $160,000 - $210,000 per year
