DescriptionThe Health and Civil Sector of Leidos is seeking an IT Policy Analyst who will be responsible for producing effective written communication for an IT Division within a federal government agency on policies, procedures, and guidelines. You will be working with our subject matter experts (SMEs) and other internal stakeholders to analyze, recommend, author, and deliver high-quality documentation such as procedures, policies, and SOPs.THIS IS NOT A CYBER ROLECandidate MUST:Be a US Citizen who is currently located in the United States for the current three consecutive years and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.Remote work that must be performed within the United States.Responsibilities:• Develop, draft, and maintain IT-related policies to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, current organizational standards, and IT objectives.• Create strategy, through policy and other channels, to educate workforce of proposed and ongoing efforts to drive efficiency, new initiatives, standardize IT concepts, ensure compliance with federal policies, and/or revise existing standards.• Develop and/or update communication outreach SOPs, policy directives, and other related processes and procedures.• Analyze business processes to determine documentation requirements.• Gather information through research, SME interviews, source documents, and review of existing documentation.• Write various types of documentation, such as policies and operational procedures.• Manage regular reviews with SMEs to maintain accuracy and completeness of documents.• Create documents that comply with federal government customer’s standards on language, writing style, structure, and format.Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:• Strong knowledge with creating and deriving policies in a start up environment.• Strong interviewing and listening skills.• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster harmonious relationships.• Time management/ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.• Strong ability to:• Write clearly, concisely, and accurately.• Write for a wide variety of audiences.• Proof-read and edit.• Pay attention to detail.• Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making within scope of responsibilities.• Ask relevant questions when interviewing SMEs and other resource persons.• Comprehend abstract and complex concepts and translate them to concrete, simple, user-friendly documents.• Effectively collaborate in a team environment, as well as work independently without much supervision.• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Basic Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years’ experience; Master's degree and 4 years’ experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.• At least three (3) years of experience in policy analysis and policy writing either in Government (federal, state, or local).• Previous experience in policy writing, preferably IT-related topics, is required.• Expertise and experience with working in a customer “start-up” space, where all new policies are needed.• Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills• Knowledge of the principles and methodologies of business process reengineering.• Knowledge of the current and emerging methods and developments in the field of IT management.• Knowledge of the concepts, characteristics, and capabilities of information technology security and systems.• Ability to work with limited supervision.• Ability to multitask and prioritize and deliver high-quality, accurate work within targeted deadlines.hhsnihOriginal Posting Date:2024-11-05While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
