IMPORTANT DETAILS

  • This role is based on-site in La Jolla, California where you will be working 20 - 29 hours per week, mostly weekdays but some weekends may be necessary.

YOUR OBJECTIVE

You help customers get to know what it means to be an Optimist. You greet customers with a smile and a story about our social mission, the Playmaker Project. You help each person feel comfortable and welcome. Using your Superpowers and your knack for knowing your stuff, you help each person leave with something good and the decision to come back soon.

YOUR JOB

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver positive and memorable customer experiences
  • Make sure we have the right balance of inventory to delight customers
  • Know how to quickly, efficiently, and accurately process customer purchases
  • Make sure the store is clean and inviting, including our behind-the-scenes areas
  • Do your part to keep our customers and your coworkers safe
  • Make it easy for customers to find exactly what they need – in the store and at www.lifeisgood.com
  • Proactively keep the store secure from shoplifters or fraudulent transactions through education, awareness and quick action
  • Be prepared and able to move constantly in a retail store environment approximately 5 – 8 hours per day
  • Be prepared and able to perform required movements like lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching and pulling boxes off shelves and racks
  • Able to lift items weighing 5 – 25 lbs regularly.
  • Willing to work weekends and nights, as scheduled
  • Responsible for opening and closing store as scheduled

Our store is located in beautiful La Jolla, CA. You'll be involved in growing our social mission through the The Playmaker Project .
