Alternate Locations: Work from HomeWork Arrangement:Remote : Work at home employee residing outside of a commutable distance to an office location.Relocation assistance: is not available for this opportunity.Requisition #: 74020The Role at a GlanceThis position is for a Sr Automation Engineer with 10+ years of IT Infrastructure experience integrating and automating complex heterogenous systems in the cloud and on-prem. The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of on-prem infrastructure such as compute, virtualization and distributed storage. The candidate also has senior level experience with contemporary automation patterns.What you'll be doing• Develop and maintain automation framework for orchestration, maintenance and reporting of IT Infrastructure.• Design and automate Infrastructure reports using data pulled from multiple sources.• Design and automate orchestration solutions for three tier infrastructure via API.• Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and maintain end to end automated workflows for Infrastructure.• Design and build automation pipelines to support automated workflows.• Collaborate with stakeholders to design automated solutions to common and redundant tasks.• Lead troubleshooting for problems with automation pipelines and workflows.• Create and maintain technical documentation for automation solutions.• Lead mentoring and training sessions of automated solutions for other team members.• Present engineered solutions to Architecture and Peer Review Boards.• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies of Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery and Cloud Computing.• Work closely with Security and Enterprise Architecture to design enterprise compliant solutions.• Design future state of Core Infrastructure in the cloud to provide IaaS using IaC methodologies.What we’re looking for• 4 Year/bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors) Minimum Required in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.• 5+ years’ experience in Python and/or PowerShell development.• 5+ years’ experience automation with API’s.• 5+ years’ experience with boto3 or AWS tools for PowerShell.• Experience with containerization and creating CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.• Able to share automation and CI/CD development best practices with peers.• Proficient on both Windows and Linux operating systems.• Intermediate experience working with RDBMS, SQL, and Data Modeling.Application DeadlineWhat’s it like to work here?At Lincoln Financial Group, we love what we do. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
