Job Description

US Strategic Insights pushes McDonald’s to use evidence-based data to fuel business decisions, build marketing plans, shape longer-term strategic plans, and guide our creative communications. We do this through partnership and collaboration with functional areas across our organization, such as Marketing, Menu Innovation, Supply Chain, Digital, Development, Operations, and Business Insights.

The Marketing Measurement and Optimization team supports Marketing strategy for the US business by driving higher marketing effectiveness and efficiency.  This team’s key projects include Paid Media testing, marketing mix modeling and CRM measurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing marketing media measurement monthly and quarterly deliverables such as Local Marketing scorecards, tracking the effectiveness of marketing initiatives at a local level
  • Perform regular quality control checks on data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all databases and data sources
  • Utilize data visualization tools to create compelling presentations that effectively communicate complex data
  • Identify and investigate data discrepancies and inconsistencies across media data
  • Collaborate with team members on larger projects, offering assistance with data analysis, presentation preparation, and stakeholder communications

The expected salary range for this role is $87,050 - $108,810 per year.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably with a focus on Media Buying, Media Analytics, Business Analytics or Finance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing preferred. MS preferred
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Creating data driven stories with strong data visualization skills and ability to pull insights from complex data-sets
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to establish and meet deadlines while prioritizing workload
  • Operates effectively in a team-based environment
  • Strong communicator (oral and written): Can take complex topics and develop clear narratives that can be catered to different audiences
  • Influential: Able to engage with others, within teams, across functions, and across levels to drive collaboration
  • Inclusive: Open to others’ points of view and able to collaborate with others across differences
  • Intellectually curious: Interested in digging into questions and problems affecting the business to identify insights that will drive growth and business improvement
  • Collaborative: Able to work with others within the same team, and on different teams, to drive results
