The Manager of Inside Sales is responsible for driving the success of the centralized Inside Sales Team by developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for lead generation, qualification, revenue, and conversion. This role sets clear and measurable goals for Business Development Reps, continuously analyzing performance data to enhance individual and team successes. The Manager of Inside Sales provides regular, detailed reports to senior management on team progress, using data-driven insights to recommend strategies for continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall sales objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide robust management, leadership, direction, and mentorship to Business Development Reps, ensuring their efforts are aligned with the overall sales growth and retention strategies
  • Provide strong, inspirational leadership to Business Development Reps, ensuring alignment with the company’s lead generation and qualification strategies. 
  • Mentor and develop the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance
  • Ensure the team meets set revenue targets and maintains margin integrity by actively managing pricing strategies and minimizing low-margin sales. Track and report on these financial metrics regularly.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as sales revenue, margin integrity, lead conversion rates (new sales logos), and client satisfaction, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Develop and maintain programs supporting targeted segments using necessary marketing support and in collaboration with territory sales teams.
  • Ensure the team operates with a client-centric approach, delivering exceptional service that reflects Millennium's values such as consultative and curious conversations, speed to quote, competitive solutions, quick, consistent follow-up, asking for the business, etc.
  • Regularly track and analyze team performance metrics, client feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and potential growth opportunities
  • Conduct daily check-ins with Business Development Reps to ensure smooth lead generation activities. Review client feedback and operational data to identify and address any immediate issues.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing, Supply Chain, Credit, and Sales Management Teams to ensure continuous client growth and retention.

What Will Make You Successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry and position-related experience.
  • Proven experience in Inside Sales leadership in the telecom, technology, or similar industries.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to manage and optimize P&L.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Ability to develop and execute lead-generation strategies
  • Strong understanding of a full inside sales lifecycle, from sourcing and procurement to remarketing and client solutions.
  • Familiarity with market research techniques and the ability to analyze industry trends and customer insights.
