Coordinator – Fan Experience

Job Description

As part of Entertainment Department, the Coordinator – Fan Experience serves as an integral member of the Entertainment team – most specifically as it relates to game operations, performer production, and staff management. The position requires someone who is collaborative, creative, enthusiastic and has excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the day-to-day supervisor for the Brew Crew, one of the Brewers’ entertainment teams:
    • Schedule staff for all games, appearances and non-gameday events
    • Create staff schedules and rotations for all Brewers home games
    • Lead pregame Brew Crew staff meetings
    • Act as a Brew Crew Supervisor for all home games, assisting with any fan concerns as needed
    • Manage staffing, availability, and attendance for the Brew Crew, including but not limited to addressing any attendance issues with employees
    • Supply support on gameday for seasonal staff
  • Act as the day-to-day supervisor for the Milwaukee Brewers Ball Attendants.
    • Schedule staff for all games
    • Create staff schedules and rotations for all Brewers home games
    • Act as a Brew Crew Supervisor for all home games
    • Manage staffing, availability, and attendance for the Ball Attendants
  • Assist in the coordination, preparation and presentation of non-game events, such as mascot appearances, street team events, community parades, block parties, summer festivals, etc.
    • Oversee the Milwaukee Brewers Mascot program and mascot costumes
    • Track internal and external requests for all Milwaukee Brewer Mascots
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients
    • Book performers
    • Coordinate day of event details between performers and client
    • Ability to maneuver and run in mascot costume that is approximately 35-pounds
    • Support mascot costume operations including diligent costume care, repair and storage
  • Assist in the development of new way to utilize the mascots in stadium and out in the community
  • Assist with partner requests for in-game footage and content, including pulling footage for features, sponsor recaps, and postseason approvals
  • Assist in the ideation and development of in-game elements, features and promotions
  • Organize staff incentive programs and events for seasonal staff. (softball game, postgame tailgate, etc.)
  • Monitor both industry and culturally relevant trends that could be used to improve and enhance our in-game presentation
  • Oversee the preparation of the entertainment office prior to all home games
  • Maintain department databases/equipment/storage facilities

Supervisory Responsibilities                                            

Directly supervise approximately 75 Brew Crew staff members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Valid Driver’s license and MBBC satisfactory driving record are required
  • Ability to drive a 15-passenger transit van
  • Ability to complete tasks at various heights such as Bernie's Chalet, catwalk, etc. 

 Education and/or Experience                             

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and 1-2 years of experience in event presentation/game operations/live events. Experience with managing large staff is a plus.
