Hospice Account Manager - job 1 of 2

Mission Healthcare Services, LLC (known as Mission Healthcare), located in seven states, is the largest home health and hospice company in the western United States. We have a special purpose—to take care of people. We provide a comprehensive array of services that meet the needs of patients and families across the healthcare continuum. Mission has plans to continue to expand our footprint. Our Account Managers are critical to the success of Mission's growth, thus we are seeking determined, highly motivated and driven sales professionals to join our growing team!


With a competitive annual base salary starting at $90,000+ based on experience, and an uncapped commission plan. The sky is the limit on your earning potential!

The Account Manager is responsible for service account growth by initiating and maintaining ongoing professional contacts and relationships with hospitals, physicians, area health facilities, community organizations, state and county medical societies, and similar groups and institutions. The Account Manager will conduct meaningful, quality sales calls, meet established admission goals, and negotiate service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies and other payors.



Key Responsibilities
  • Manages daily marketing operations, sales calls and ongoing education with referral decision makers.
  • Facilitates education on guidelines and agency services provided to appropriate and eligible patients.
  • Participates in community education events, including speaking to healthcare professionals/civic groups/church groups, etc. to provide education on services offered by Mission Healthcare.
  • Coordinates with physician offices for necessary documentation, such as physician signature on orders, required addendums and other documents in a timely manner.
  • Develops and implements marketing plans, assists in establishing agency volume projections, implements marketing plans and monitors the allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.
  • Provides leadership in strategic planning, maintains comprehensive knowledge of Mission Healthcare’s markets including government agencies, major payor groups, key referral sources and competitor’s market positioning.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with referral and payor sources.
  • Monitors and reports on cost-effective marketing efforts.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare marketing management, preferably in hospice.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Ability to assertively market and deal tactfully with referral and payor sources.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
  • Valid driver’s license.
