Product Manager - Utility Initiatives

Imagine a Role That Doesn't Just Fill a Gap—but Propels Your Career Forward 🚀

You might be thinking, "Thermostats? How transformative can they really be?"

But at Mysa, we see thermostats as powerful tools in the fight against climate change—and as a platform for your next career breakthrough.

Our Demand Response Revolution By The Numbers: 🔥

- Half a million thermostats 🌡️ already in the market

- Hundreds of thousands of homes 🏠 powered by Mysa technology

- Tens of thousands of devices 📱 actively enrolled in DR programs

- Partnerships with major utilities ⚡ across North America including BC Hydro, NS Power, Puget Sound Energy, Hydro Quebec, and Hydro One to name only a few.

- Doubled DR enrollment every year 📈 for the past 3 years (and planning to do it again!)

Now, we're looking for someone who's ready to choose their dream job, not just get their next job—a role that will not only challenge you but also transform your career trajectory. If you're excited by the prospect of leveraging advanced AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, WindSurf, Cursor, etc.) to prototype, build, and analyze solutions that double DR enrollment year-over-year, then this is the move you've been waiting for.

So what is DR? 🤔

Demand Response: Imagine rush hour traffic on a major bridge 🚙🚚🚓. Instead of spending billions to widen it for just two hours a day, what if we could incentivize just 15% of drivers to shift their commute by 30 minutes? Traffic flows, everyone wins.

That's DR. When everyone blasts their AC at 5pm, the grid chokes. Instead of building expensive power plants that sit idle 90% of the time, we coordinate small thermostat adjustments across thousands of homes – so slight you'll never notice, but powerful enough to prevent blackouts and eliminate the need for dirty "peaker" plants. 🌿

With half a million thermostats already deployed, we're not just talking theory. We're building North America's largest virtual power plant, one smart home at a time. 💪

The Job You'll be Doing (Not Just a Role) 💼

- Automate routine tasks to focus on high-impact work

- Strategic Utility Partnerships: 🤝 Work side-by-side with some of the largest utilities in North America.
