Hi, my name is Matt Davies, co-founder & CMO at PetLab Co., and I need your help. Since launching in 2018, PetLab Co. has rapidly become the leader in DTC pet supplements thanks to our data-driven approach to acquisition, rigorous conversion funnel optimization, and innovative products.

We’ve built an efficient, collaborative team with a culture that prioritizes high performance and rapid learning. However, we need an experienced marketer to take ownership of our Canadian market and further capitalize on its growth potential. This is a high-impact role where you will be instrumental in driving revenue and customer acquisition while managing profitability to meet our ambitious goals.

We’re looking for a seasoned marketer who thrives on data, creativity, and ownership. You have experience managing significant ad budgets and understand how to synergize media buying with creative and conversion optimization. You’re strategic, but you also love rolling up your sleeves to execute and iterate.

Your experience spans direct response marketing, paid social and search strategies, creative ideation, and P&L management. You know how to leverage analytics to optimize campaigns and scale winning strategies while collaborating across teams to ensure seamless execution

How Will Your Time Be Spent?

Here’s an approximate breakdown of how you’ll spend your time driving consistent, profitable scale:

  • 25% Creative Collaboration: Partnering with creative teams to develop and test impactful ad concepts.
  • 25% Execution: Hands-on management and optimization of campaigns across Meta, Google, and other platforms. This would involve producing engaging ad copy, structuring and building ad campaigns from scratch and monitoring their performance real time.
  • 25% Analysis: Diving into campaign data to uncover actionable insights and inform strategy.
  • 25% Strategy: Identifying new opportunities, planning campaigns, and iterating on successful initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7-10 Years in Performance Marketing: Proven experience managing $1M+ in monthly ad spend across platforms like Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads.
  • Direct Response E-com Expert: Heavy exposure to direct response marketing, including creative, media, and funnel optimization.
  • Data Obsessed: Proficient in analytics platforms and Excel, with a knack for uncovering patterns and opportunities in data.
  • Strategic Thinker & Doer: Capable of developing high-level strategies and executing them with precision.
  • High-Growth Mindset: Energized by a fast-paced, high-velocity environment where conditions evolve rapidly.
  • P&L Management: Experience balancing revenue growth with profitability targets.
  • Exceptional Communicator: Clear and concise in articulating ideas, strategies, and results.
