Phoenix Homecare and Hospice is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Springfield, Mo team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. This candidate will also have the ability to work under tight deadlines and provide a high level of customer service and analytics. This position will be based out of our Phoenix office in Springfield, Missouri and will report directly to the Director of Finance.We all know in today's market that you, as an employee, are actually interviewing us to see if we are a good fit for your perfect career. So...take a look inside our culture, we think you will feel right at home!Benefits:• $40-50k/year• Full Time in Office• Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, etc. • PTO• 401k• Onsite Fitness Center• Employment recognition programs • Great culture! Responsibilities• Handle full-cycle GL accounting including month end journal entries, accruals, intercompany billings, and account reconciliations• Provide support and assist for audits• Maintain fixed assets and accumulated depreciation schedules• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and audit packages with support documentation• Perform account and financial analysis as needed• Review invoices for accurate coding and approvals• Assist in providing quality financial reports and analysis to operational managers• Handle special projects and other ad hoc tasks as needed• Assist with budgeting and proformas, if necessaryRequirements:• Team player with strong collaboration and cooperation abilities• Highly detail oriented• Ability to research issues, make recommendations, and pick up quickly on new systems and processes• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word• Basic knowledge of FASB requirements, & Generally Accepted Accounting Principles• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to work with all types of individuals• Experience with Sage Intact a plusEducation And Experience• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting• 1-3 years accounting experience (Recent graduates with 1-3 years accounting experience encouraged to apply)• Public accounting and/or Healthcare accounting experience a plus• CPA a plusWe're taking the journey with you, creating a New Beginning!Choose Phoenix, Apply today!Our mission is to offer New Beginnings and meaningful opportunities to our caregivers and clinicians while providing home care services to our clients built on innovation, skill, and Christ-like values of compassion, honesty, and patience.
