What you’ll do
Manage daily restaurant operations to ensure superior service and guest satisfaction. Initially at our Union Square location, and soon several around NYC
Hire, lead, coach, and train team members on all aspects of Popchew kitchen operations
Manage inventory, quality, and safety protocols
Maintain high standards of excellence
Manage payroll and scheduling
Work with leadership to implement local marketing initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of Restaurant General Management experience in a high volume, fast-paced QSR environment
Working knowledge of restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security
Ability to learn and train others on all aspects of Popchew kitchen ops
Knowledgeable in all financial aspects of business operations
Minimum 3 years of P&L responsibilities
Food handler certification, preferred
Willingness to work flexible hours
Strong communication skills with an ability to advocate/convey your strategy to leadership
Collaborative approach which embodies Popchew’s culture and values
Creative mindset and an ability to spot opportunities and cultivate ideas where others wouldn’t
Analytical rigor and an ability to synthesize data into actionable insights

Starting at our Union Square location, you will eventually oversee multiple sites across NYC. Your responsibilities include hiring, leading, and training an enthusiastic team, managing inventory and safety protocols, and driving local marketing initiatives in collaboration with our leadership team. We seek a General Manager with a minimum of three years' experience in a high-volume QSR environment, who thrives on the challenge of creating a flourishing restaurant atmosphere. A creative mindset, solid financial acumen, and strong communication skills are crucial for success at POPCHEW.
