THE ROLE

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading our procurement activities and contributing to the overall success of our company. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. 

This role demands someone with great multitasking abilities, communication, and problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who is responsible, personable, detail-oriented and committed to excellence. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a background in Supply Chain to make a big, immediate impact and become an integral part of an amazing, fast-growing company. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for raw materials and packaging components to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply chain.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Draft, review, gain consensus, and manage contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Monitor market trends and global economic factors that may impact procurement costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and project management, to understand procurement needs and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and changes that may impact procurement processes.
  • Work cross-functionally to mitigate waste and obsolescence exposure. 

WHAT YOU BRING 

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mentality, follow-through and tenacity.
  • Multi-tasking with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group.
  • Commitment to excellent results and being proactive.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Procurement, Sourcing and Vendor Management. 

YOUR BACKGROUND 

  • 4+ years’ experience in direct procurement  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management and/or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Food/Beverage CPG experience preferred.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 20% of time spent with vendors, co-packers, trade shows/events.
  • Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business demands.

COMPENSATION

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $100,000- $110,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, minimum wage requirements, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
