Sales and Business Development Manager - Corporate and Promotional Sales

The Role:

PopSockets is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of our Corporate and Promotional Sales vertical. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and driving revenue through tailored solutions for corporate clients and promotional campaigns. This is a unique opportunity to shape a growth segment within our organization, combining strategic planning with hands-on execution. As the leader of a new channel for the company, this role will need to be a strong collaborator that possesses equally strong communication skills to quickly and accurately identify opportunities, engage cross-function teams, and deliver solutions. Lastly, this role requires a self-starting strategic thinker with a drive to win and a sense of urgency to compete in the fast-paced Consumer Electronics category.


Responsibilities:
  • Vertical Development:
  • Define and execute a strategic plan to establish and grow the Corporate and Promotional Sales vertical.
  • Identify industries and companies with high potential for corporate gifting, promotional campaigns, and branded merchandise.

  • Client Acquisition:
  • Build a robust pipeline of corporate clients through networking, research, and outreach.
  • Engage with key stakeholders such as procurement managers, marketing teams, and executive decision-makers to present tailored solutions.

  • Revenue Growth:
  • Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Develop pricing strategies and proposals aligned with client budgets and company objectives.

  • Relationship Management:
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and loyalty.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Collaborative Execution:
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and logistics teams to design and deliver customized solutions for clients.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of orders, from design to delivery.

  • Market Analysis:
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve products, services, and marketing strategies tailored to the corporate and promotional space.

  • Reporting and Accountability:
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for leadership, detailing progress and key achievements.
  • Develop system to track client interactions, pipeline activities, and sales performance.

  • Fulfill other duties as required and embrace the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
  • Fix things that you can see need fixing, identify problems, and find solutions


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field or experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, corporate sales, or promotional products sales.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, cultural nuances, and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of successfully generating and closing high-value deals with corporate clients.
  • Strong understanding of the corporate gifting and promotional product industry, including trends and buyer preferences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negation, and communication skills.
  • Highly versed in Microsoft Office Suite with specific emphasis in Excel & PowerPoint.  Comfortable with G-Suite platform
  • Action-oriented and flexible mindset to drive impact in a fast-paced, rapidly changing growth environment
  • Sense of humor, personal integrity, and appreciation for the power of teamwork
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20-30 of the time.

$135,000 - $150,000 a year
+ 30% Bonus potential
