Product Line Manager

The Product Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the product development process, licensing program and inline and custom product catalogs. This role requires extensive collaboration and communication across multiple departments to organize and complete projects in a timely manner.

 

Responsibilities

 

Product Development

-       Manage incoming projects from R&D office and continuously follow up on status and timelines

-       Communicate new product ideas to R&D office and provide samples, pricing requirements and any relevant market research

-       Confirm sizing on all new products, follow up on status of samples and ensure that product cost is within target range

-       Communicate status of all product development projects with management team on a regular basis

-       Work with management team to prioritize new and existing projects

-       Work with marketing and sales team on launch of new products and rollout internally

-       Field product defect and QC issues and present possible resolutions to management team

-       Work with R&D office to create solutions to any product, material or production issues

Inline

-       Actively manage all inline projects through the design and ordering process

-       Participate in inline design review meetings with a specific eye on current design and color trends to determine potential strong sellers

-       Assist creative team as needed in design direction of new inline designs

-       Oversee the implementation of new collections for presentation, in-season and seasonal releases

-       Complete all administrative tasks necessary to launch new inline products

-       Work with E-Commerce team and management to determine inline stock orders and process

-       Work closely with marketing team to manage inline inventory of top performing items, commodity items and overstocks

-       Work with marketing and event teams to determine inline designs and stock for event specific retail programs

Licensing

-       Manage and cultivate relationships with all Primal licensors

-       Process all new licensed designs through licensor approvals

-       Assist creative team in art direction of new licensed product designs

-       Maintain Primal’s catalog of licensor contracts to ensure all requirements are met

-       Assess Primal’s ROI on licensed contracts on an annual basis

-       Work with manufacturers and licensors to source additional material for licensed products to increase product worth

Custom Product Catalog

-       Manage additions or changes to custom product specifications across all platforms

-       Maintain a complete working knowledge of all Primal products, including product specifications, options, materials, cost, design limitations and vendor

-       Train employees on new and existing products

-       Order and maintain custom samples and fit kits

-       Must be reliable and punctual

-       Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
