Strategy Director

We are looking for a Strategy Director to join our team. With your 7+ years of experience in pharma strategy, you’ve seen a lot and done a lot. Foundational brand strategy, like positioning; brief writing, for campaigns and tactics; client workshops and internal brainstorms. You’re a strategist built for today, with a background in brand strategy and enough competence to support engagement/experience and business strategy. You’re a great communicator – in long form, in slides, and in presentations. And you want to work on a team that believes that fun and work do not need to be mutually exclusive. Your expertise will help us craft the narratives that will resonate with health care professionals, patients, and other stakeholders. Your deep understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape lets you be a valuable partner to clients. 


This role is a senior individual contributor who will lead client engagements and collaborate with the agency creative team. You will report to the Head of Strategy.


Responsibilities:
  • Partner with client service lead on assigned clients, developing deep knowledge of the business and strategic communication needs
  • Lead client annual brand planning process, including development and execution of workshops, slide development for plans, collaboration with external partners and tactical ideation
  • Develop creative briefs for new campaigns
  • Collaborate on development of tactical/project briefs, ensuring that there is a clear goal and strategy
  • Actively participate in client market research, assisting in development of screeners, discussion guides, and output POVs
  • Maintain pulse on the competitive marketplace for clients, including partnering with medical strategy on pipeline reports, working with creative on competitor audits, seeking trends in social media reports, and listening to analyst calls
  • Drive curiosity in the agency, sharing inspirational content and helping to broaden team thinking


Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in a healthcare marketing agency with progressive experience guiding global and regional client strategies in both direct-to-consumer and healthcare professional segments
  • Experience launching brands, developing annual tactical plans, and running workshops
  • Depth and breadth as a strategist, with experience in brand and engagement/experience strategy.  Exposure to med comms, payer marketing and media strategy a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends
  • Desire to be on-site with clients
  • Ability to make the complicated simple and impactful


$135,000 - $185,000 a year
