Product Management Director - AI Platform

Austin, Texas


We are looking for a product leader to build and nurture Rev’s speech and developer platforms, where you’d wear multiple hats, including: GM, PM, AI/ML expert, and developer evangelist. As a Product Management Director for our AI Platform you’ll be responsible for: Rev.ai - Rev’s AI/ML startup within a startup, which was created to build our world-class speech engine into the leading speech recognition service; Rev.com’s core API and platform product, powering the needs of our largest and most active customers for audio transcription and video captioning services; and coordinating the efforts of our machine learning research team, featuring the best and brightest speech recognition experts. This is a hugely impactful and visible role that will expected to drive significant growth for the company and requires a leader who can define a long-term platform vision, drive execution, coordinate across teams, and build a developer community.


Product managers run our business units. Essential responsibilities involve talking to users, analyzing data, breaking down problems into concrete steps, leading engineering teams to build solutions, and working with sales and marketing to take products to market. Responsibilities


  • Develop and drive a compelling product vision and visionary roadmap for our AI Platform offerings across the full customer journey
  • Attend customer and stakeholder meetings on a regular basis to solicit feedback, gather requirements and validate product priorities
  • Work closely with product managers and peer teams across Rev to deliver results
  • Write clear product strategy and detailed product requirements
  • Make formative decisions on what needs to be built, and how we should prioritize investments
  • Enable go to market activities by providing actionable product information and education to internal stakeholders
  • Define goals and drive results by evaluating market trends, customer feedback, and performing retrospective analysis of product performance
  • Drive long-term thinking and innovation
  • Be a thought leader on artificial intelligence and its potential usage within Rev
  • Build a strong presence and be an evangelist for Rev’s developer platform


Requirements


  • 10+ years of overall experience, including at least 5 years as a product manager, ideally within B2B SaaS or PaaS companies focused on developer platforms
  • Reputation for building, evangelizing, and/or scaling enterprise cloud products
  • Expertise in empowering and collaborating across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, strengths and limitations
  • Keen ability in partnering with VP and C-level executives in driving business decision-making and product road mapping 
  • Focus on outcomes and being accountable for achieving goals
  • Balanced approach to using both data and intuition to set priorities
