Company Description

The New York Red Bulls are one of 30 Major League Soccer (MLS) teams. RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, has competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull, for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

Purpose of this Job

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of New York Red Bulls marketing initiatives. The Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Marketing to develop marketing strategies to support fan growth and drive revenue for the ticketing portfolio. The ticketing portfolio includes Red Memberships, Partial Plans, Groups, Holiday, and Single Game Tickets. This position is also responsible for the brand showing up in market through grassroots events and field marketing initiatives.

Job Description

Event Staff

  • Coordination of event staff for grassroots/field marketing events

Growth Marketing

  • The Marketing Manager will help grow the New York Red Bulls fan base
  • You will partner closely with Business Strategy and Analytics, Ticketing Department and Marketing team to support all ticketing products
  • Identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and product enhancement based on data-driven findings
  • Identify community-driven grassroots and field marketing initiatives that build brand awareness, generate leads, and conversions
  • Continuously improve processes related to business insights, reporting, and data analysis to enhance efficiency and accuracy in decision-making

Budget

  • Assist in planning the annual marketing budget, and ensure campaigns and projects stay within the allocated budget

Innovation and Roll out Plans

  • Develop positioning guides for current and future ticketing products – identifying target audiences and relevant messaging to support product & marketing growth initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns ticket sales
  • Support product launches and updates through effective communication and coordination across teams
  • Develop product roll out plan and effectively communicate to sales team

Reporting

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the products in the ticketing portfolio
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of marketing initiatives, and revenue analysis
  • Develop recaps for each game and overall season

Qualifications

  • Strong organization and leadership skills
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably with sports team, performing arts facility or arena
  • Strong data-driven marketer
  • Experience in setting priorities, problem-solving, multi-tasking, trouble-shooting and working independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, positive demeanor, adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing staff
