Job Description

The Business Development Director is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company by partnering with RRD Sales to identify new business opportunities with existing customers, leveraging strategic partnerships, and leading initiatives that enhance the company’s market presence. This role requires a deep understanding of business, financials, RRD products/services, and the challenges of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise
  • judgment and identify innovative sales solutions.
  • Anticipates and understands customer/account needs, feedback, and objections, and identifies
  • and explains solutions.
  • Uses a high degree of judgment, discretion, and creativity to persuade customers/accounts to
  • adopt a favorable view and decide to buy.

  • Develops colleagues’ and customers’ understanding of services and solutions.
  • Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Explore and evaluate new business opportunities, including existing and potential clients,

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and
  • industry leaders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic partners.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients and partners.
  • Ensure that all proposals align with the company’s strategic objectives and value proposition.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure alignment on
  • business goals and messaging.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define and prioritize business development initiatives.
  • Contributes to sales teams on negotiations with large/important/regional accounts.

 

Qualifications

  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of sales experience prospecting new business as well as maintaining account relationships for existing business.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Requires depth and/or breadth of sales expertise within a specialized product, service, or account
  • type.
  • Recognized as an expert in one or more areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales account management and profitable growth.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software products.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
