About the role:
As the Security Operations Manager, you will lead and grow our global Security Operations team, ensuring security alerts and reports are acknowledged, triaged, and resolved in accordance with our SLAs. You will act as the Incident Commander during high-severity incidents, demonstrating decisive leadership to mitigate risks and guide the team through security challenges efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include refining and implementing security processes, overseeing a team of engineers, and collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance Samsara’s security posture. You will review alert quality and incident response actions, delegate cases and engineering projects to ensure balanced workloads, and develop insightful security metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Additionally, you will spearhead quarterly security initiatives aimed at strengthening our global security operations and ensuring year-over-year maturity. This role requires a collaborative, humble, and practical approach to security, working in close partnership with teams to build effective, low-friction security solutions.
