Software Engineer, New Grad

A Software Engineer at Secoda will solve the greatest problems for prospects and customers to help the overall success of Secoda. You'll collaborate closely with our sales team, customer success team, and engineering team. The goal of this role is to ship improvements to the product that increase our sales win rate, shape our customers' experience, and influence engineering productivity. We value your problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and ability to communicate complex ideas. 

What you will be doing:

  • Develop product improvements to enhance customer retention and close sales

  • Build tools to streamline internal workflows and improve team efficiency

  • Diagnose and resolve software issues to ensure system stability and performance

  • Work with engineering, product, sales, and design on our sales and end-to-end problems for customers and prospects

  • Work with the product team to guide the roadmap towards features that help solve the most important problems for our customers

Who you are:

  • Recent graduates should have completed a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, such as, Computer Science or Software Engineering, or be in their final year of study.

  • You have at least 6-12 months of experience working as a software engineering intern

  • A fundamental understanding of some of the core technologies in our stack

  • You have experience with React (TypeScript), Python (Django), and Postgres

  • Are supportive—especially when teammates are faced with new challenges

  • Are able to autonomously figure out the solutions to customer challenges

  • Are naturally curious and willing to take a step to learn something they don’t have experience in

Hybrid Office Policy (Tuesdays, Thursdays + every other Friday)

We have a beautiful office in Liberty Village (109 Atlantic Ave) and work in a Hybrid schedule with Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday as our in-office days. We provide lunch for our team every other Friday. 

We believe time together in person is valuable and important. We host ample social opportunities and encourage employees to attend team off-sites and events (dinners and game nights) as well as a yearly 4-day retreat.
