Data Center Technician

Serverfarm is a leading developer and operator of data centers in North America, Western Europe, and Israel, and has key customer relationships with rapidly growing hyperscale, technology and network customers. In September 2023, Manulife Investment Management acquired a controlling interest in Serverfarm, which will allow the company greater access to capital to accelerate the expansion of its data center portfolio on a worldwide basis. In 2015, Serverfarm developed its award-winning service platform InCommand with the goal of bringing together the three main elements of a data center: real estate, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, and the IT environment. This portal-based solution combines people, process, and platform, creating a cloud-like experience for data centers. Serverfarm delivers its sustainable Data Center Managemen t as a Service (DMaas) approach at more than 750 locations across forty-five countries.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
Monitor power and environmental conditions within all critical spaces within the facility.
Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS.
Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities
Escort and support outside contractors, ensuring they are abiding SF work rules and processes
Respond to site incidents, execute appropriate MOP/EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event.
Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures.
Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management.
Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management
Adhere to all local, state and federal safety laws and requirements
Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site.
Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards
Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure

Background

Experience working in a Data Center with proven success in delivering customer requirements in a critical technology environment
Evidence of self-management and alignment with ever-changing priorities
Good written and oral communication skills, tenacity, and working to a high level of accuracy
