Enterprise Sales and Marketing Intern 


About the Role:


This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career in sales and marketing by gaining experience generating leads at top-tier enterprise retailers. You will be at the forefront of an exciting product that helps financially empower our shoppers’ lives, but also helps our merchant partners grow their businesses quickly by attracting a new audience of shoppers to their brand. In this role, you will be accountable for initiating conversations with prospective merchants, creating marketing content and materials to drive awareness amongst enterprise retailers, setting meetings for account executives and sales directors, and finding other creative ways to generate sales leads. We use a variety of different sales tools and automation in our prospecting efforts to help us drive results!


This particular Intern role will be placed on our Enterprise Sales Team, predominantly focused on the largest US-based retailers generating over $500M in annual revenues.

 Key Role Responsibilities: 


  • Generate outbound sales (lead generation) and executive conversations through email, cold calling, LinkedIn, and digital campaigns
  • Coordinate product demonstrations between Sezzle Account Executives/Sales Directors and prospective merchants
  • Track communication and engagement via Salesforce and Salesloft and other tools
  • Close sales and assist merchants with onboarding
  • Account-based marketing campaign management
  • Event planning and coordination


Minimum Requirements:


  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of coursework completed 
  • (Junior, Senior preferred)
  • Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale


Preferred Knowledge & Skills:


  • Experience with successful outbound prospecting is a plus
  • Related experience in payments or fintech or startups is a plus
  • Experience with SalesForce is a plus
  • Growth-minded and looking to turn challenges into opportunities
  • Self-starter, ability to perform with a lot of autonomy

Compensation


The compensation range for the role is $18 - $22/hour. Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive compensation outside of the posted ranges.
